Emory trip
The CSSA sponsored a group of student who took a trip to Emory University for a conference hosted by the Emory Center for Mind, Machine, and Culture in November. During this conference, the members celebrated Charles Darwin's 200th anniversary of his birth and learned more about the evolution of the brain, the distinction between the human mind with that of other species, as well as other fascinating subjects. A summary of the conference can be found here:http://shared.web.emory.edu/emory/news/releases/2009/11/emory-evolution-conference-celebrates-darwins-legacy.html
End of semester
As a way to unwind from the stress of the Fall semester as well as get together in a more social setting, members of the CSSA joined in the winter festivities and had a marvelous dinner at a local Indian restaurant topped off by rousing discussion and music at Underground Blues near the main campus at UCF.
